Raise the roof NE

"So we don’t normally do this as we like to support local businesses however we feel a need to warn other people, especially those who may be vulnerable, Raise the roof came out in April to do some work to some sarking felt to my roof install an Eves tray to the front of the house and install some ridge tiles to ventilate the roof. The gentleman that came were lovely professional funny and easy to get on with even though they weren’t the cheapest at £760 they definitely put me at ease however almost immediately after they did the work and left we noticed water ingress to the bedroom ceiling above where they had installed new sarking felt to the roof so we got them back out and he couldn’t see what the problem was however the issue persisted and became very bad. I got a drone up to see if there were any issues and noted that the verge pointing had been done to a very poor standard and this was where the water was likely to be coming from spoke to the guy who said that he didn’t think this was where the water was coming in however when I challenged that the pointing was to a very poor standard he came out and redid it however the water persisted and when we got the drone back out to look at our roof it was noted that the verge pointing whilst still a lot better than the first time is still in a very poor standard and also the ridge tiles had not in fact being installed even though we were charged £160 just to put two tiles in I challenged the roofer who denied any knowledge of the tiles not being in place insisted they were in place and when I showed him picture proof then backtracked and said the person who had installed the tiles was no longer working for him due to poor workmanship and he was not aware that he hadn’t installed the tiles and he has since refunded me £200 for the price and the trouble and I had to get another roofer out to deal with the verge pointing. The original issue we had of dampness to the front of the property was persisting so I got multiple roofers out who said no eaves tray has been installed. We have corroborated this with two other roofers and then attempted to contact @raisetheroof however he has now blocked me via Facebook WhatsApp et cetera my partner has attempted to contact him. He denied all knowledge and has now blocked him as well. These gentlemen were originally lovely. Seem to know what they were talking about however there are complete Cowboys have overcharged done absolutely poor work for example the original sarking in the roof which he had replaced is still lying on the insulation in my roof which will cause further issues later down the line and he has not taken any accountability for the absolute state he has left my roof. We do not usually talk bad about people however this is a warning to anyone please please do not use this company. They are complete Cowboys and fraudsters who take no accountability and own help to his fraud."

"The lads turned up yesterday to refelt my bay roof fantastic job competitive price clean and efficient workers would highly recommend raise the roof for any roofing work"

"Brilliant, really fast at responding and happy to take on a smaller job. Top stuff."

"Contacted Raise the roof after reading a recommendation on Facebook, their communication was excellent and they conducted the roof repair when they said they would despite adverse weather conditions, they did a very good job and I am happy to recommend this company."

"What a quick response I got following a call to ask if they could repair the problems I had with my flat bay window roof. They agreed a day and time and kept to that promise. They were quick to do the job to a high professional standard, and kept me updated throughout with what they were doing. They took photos of before and after so I knew that the job was done correctly, as I was not at home when they finished, and the window they were repairing was at height. They took away all the old debris leaving the place tidy. Great lads and would highly recommend them. Susan. ⭐️"
