"Wiring Centre & zone valve for underfloor heating needed to be replaced. I was given good advice by Darren, a quote and probable date for work to be done. Work was completed on time, electrician was very competent, courteous & helpful. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommended."

"Absolutely terrible experience with this firm. So disappointed as I went to them thinking that although they may be more expensive than most, they seemed fairly big and to have a reasonable reputation. The reality? I called for a boiler repair and they recommended a new boiler, quickly sending a quote. Unfortunately, although he claimed vast experience with the type of boiler in question, from having worked with British Gas for many years, I didn't believe their Senior Engineer's advice so I got another firm out. They fixed the boiler quickly, easily and at very low cost by cleaning a small part. Next, Elizabeth on reception at Aubrey Cornfoot followed up the quote by phone, so I explained above and expressed my dissatisfaction with the experience. I then received a bill for Β£150, so I called to advise I wouldn't be paying and, again, in stronger terms, that the experience was disgraceful and that their Senior Engineer perhaps needs training. It was all talk in the relatively short time of his visit (I'd estimate 15-20 minutes), with little/no attention to or inspection of the boiler. Sales, not Service or Engineering. The same lady had also asked that I email or write to complain and I said that I wouldn't be wasting any more of my time with them. I'm sure she/they have the means to document and share a complaint internally from a phone call, if needed. For me, she needs some training too - as well as a process that involves doing something more than typing and sending quotes and invoices. Defensive of the dreadful advice, abrupt and lacking any empathy, she paled in comparison to the first lady I spoke to at this company, Susan, who was much more polite and understanding. I've now received a FINAL WARNING for Β£150 from a Director threatening court action. If there was ever an Aubrey Cornfoot, I imagine he'd be turning in his grave. It feels like this firm's process is to either to prey on people to replace their boilers unnecessarily or charge for giving extremely questionable advice. Avoid like the plague, in my humble opinion, as anyone reading this will understand. Not only a complete waste of time - currently an absolutely dreadful outcome doing nothing but cause stress and anxiety. Such a shame as you see their vans all over and think they're probably a good local firm. I've now called again 20/10/25 to reiterate that I dispute the bill and explain that noone in their right mind would pay for such bad, misleading advice. I await a call back."

"This is the unfinished area they left behind my toilet during the shower room refurbishment. Yes it’s still that way. Cheeky and arrogant some of them are. They will charge you for any problems relating to their supplies. The wash basin was replaced by another plumber. The original was also put in too high for us, which meant they had to jury rig the drain as the plumbing wouldn’t adapt to the proper height. Shower taps have been replaced and the led lights need replacing. Our other bathroom refurbished earlier by a builder has no problems."
